It’s great to see big companies giving back from time to time, and staff from SSE are given the opportunity to take a day away from work and volunteer within their local community.
Charities, local groups and organisations can benefit from extra support to help out at no cost to them, simply by reaching out to the SSE community project; aptly named “community at heart“. SSE’s workforce spans an impressive 22,000 people, so there’s plenty of help to go around. They recently sent a team down to Greyhound Rescue Fife to offer their services.

Set up by Jimmy & Celia Fernie in 2005 after the increasing number of greyhounds that were no longer wanted after they’ve been retired from racing; Greyhound Rescue Fife is home to nearly 40 dogs all of which are wormed, vaccinated and neutered where necessary.
