We have got them this far in life. We have educated, encouraged, nursed and protected them for all of their lives up to now, and we have a duty to set them off on their own paths with the best start we can give them. But what is the best start? That is a matter of opinion, and yours may differ from theirs.
Weddings are notoriously expensive, last only a day, and are over before you know it. They are so expensive, usually, because the bride or her parents want to have a dream wedding that will be remembered by everyone for decades to come. Houses are incredibly expensive too, and the happy couple are going to need somewhere to live. Obviously they will already have thought about this and may have plans to rent a home. Now, you have a tough decision. You have been saving money for a long time, knowing that one day your child will flee the nest. Do you spend it on a lavish wedding where it will disappear in the blink of an eye, or do you invest it as a deposit on a home that will give them security and a place to raise a family of their own.
On paper and in the cold light of day, the decision seems obvious. This, however, does not take into account human emotion and the desire for opulent ceremonies. What are the expenses involved in a wedding day? Let’s take a look.
The Church

Everyone looks at the world with different eyes, however, so that world class wedding may still be on the cards. Sometimes you just have to grin and bear it.
